Oh wind, dance through the corrupted darkness
穢れた闇を超えて風よ舞え
This is the meat and bones of the collective: the sites it contains. I tend to obsessively organize my sites by category and domain, so currently all of these links take you to the domains that make up the network: broken-mask.org (anime/manga), rhapsodos.org (video games), and syunikiss.org (music). You can check out those domains to see the full list of related sites I run; the ones listed here are fansites and miscellaneous sites. Enjoy!
current
These sites are active on the network and are either complete or in good shape. If you're wondering how they're organized, the answer is simple: whatever makes the most sense to me at the time. This may or may not make any sense to you. I think they're kind of organized by domain and size right now... sort of.
Never Stop Dreaming
Subject: Mystina of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Type: Shrine
Last updated: June 2010: new section
Mystina was a character I always wanted to shrine, but after shelving plans for it I never thought I'd actually get around to it. That changed with the Girl Mode challenge, and I'm glad it did! Even if you've never heard of the game, perhaps this site will make you check it out.
Shape the Future
Subject: Dissidia: Final Fantasy
Type: Personal rambling tribute
Last updated: August 2009: opened
When I got Dissidia, I was expecting to enjoy it; what I wasn't expecting was how utterly addicting it is and how much fun I'd have playing it, even if I hardly understood it in Japanese. This site was born out of that: it's a personal dedication that focuses on my own opinions about the game instead of a proper informational fansite. I had much more fun doing it this way :D It also has a few sub-sites.
bittersweet love
Subject: Diego Armando & Mia Fey of Ace Attorney
Type: Shrine/fanlisting
Last updated: July 2009: revamp/completed
When Diego showed up with his coffee, I knew I'd fall in love with his character. What I wasn't expecting was to fall head over heels for his relationship with Mia. Their story was a tapestry of many different threads, and this is my attempt at putting it all together. Comes with a fanlisting!
Heaven's Requiem
Subject: Lenneth of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
Type: One-page shrine
Last updated: July 2010: opened
I'd wanted to make a shrine to Lenneth ever since I first played the game, but it took a long time to actually find the motivation to do it. I've loved her story for a long time, and though this wasn't what I had in mind at first, I'm glad to have a site for her now.
Untamed
Subject: Grimmjow Jeagerjaquez of Bleach
Type: Shrine
Last updated: September 2009: opened
Making a Grimmjow shrine is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and this is the result of that. Out of all of the characters in Bleach, he is my favorite, and I've analyzed his character in this site. It also has a large screencap gallery.
Atropos
Subject: Seishirou & Subaru of Tokyo Babylon & X
Type: Shrine
Last updated: March 2010: opened
Seishirou and Subaru have a dysfunctional relationship, but it's one I absolutely love. (What that says about me is another matter entirely...) Though this shrine isn't complete yet, it will hopefully be finished sometime soon. For now, there's a small selection of analytical sections to peruse.
20 years old
Subject: ONE OK ROCK
Type: Small personal tribute
Last updated: August 2010: revamped
I discovered ONE OK ROCK almost by chance, but once I got addicted to their album Kanjou Effect it spread to all of their music, and they've become one of my absolute favorite bands. I had no intention of building a fansite for them, but eventually decided to build a one-page tribute for a marathon at Amassment, and later expanded it to a multi-page (though still small) site. It features reviews and thoughts about the band and their music, and I hope it inspires people to check them out!
revamp
These sites, while still active, are in need of content edits and new layouts, and will be updated this year as part of the Shrine Revamp Marathon held at Amassment. They are still open for browsing, but be aware that they're not in the best shape.
miscellaneous
orenjipan.com
Subject: Personal/art site
Last updated: Updated semi-regularly
Formerly known as my collective, orenjipan.com is now strictly a personal site where I put my art and ramble on a sometimes-updated blog. I use it more as an art dump than anything else, to be honest.
City of Ten
Subject: Fanlisting collective
Last updated: Updated frequently with fanlistings
City of Ten is my fanlisting collective and the site that gets updated the most, since I build a lot of fanlistings. It's up to date but really needs a new layout once I find some inspiration for it.
what next?
I always have a long list of sites I'd like to build, but I try to focus my efforts on one site at a time so they actually get done. The following sites are ones I hope to have up in the next few months eventually. I should really stop putting dates on things, I end up taking ages to actually finish them.
You can keep on top of network updates by watching the update journal.
